Job summary

AES Clean Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee high-impact photovoltaic solar and energy storage projects through development, construction, commissioning and turnover to Operations. The successful candidate will assist in due diligence on potential project acquisitions, lead construction planning, define EPC scopes, and act as Owner’s Project Manager to oversee active construction.

The role reports to the Director of Project Management and requires travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project management for renewable energy construction.
• Experience leading EPC negotiations for utility-scale PV and energy storage.
• Familiarity with PV solar design and civil/structural knowledge.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Strong proficiency with CPM scheduling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
• Spanish language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and document RFPs and scope of work for EPC firms.
• Lead EPC selection and contract negotiations.
• Conduct due diligence on solar sites and reports.
• Work with Development to set internal budgets and schedules.
• Act as Owner’s Representative for EPC contracts.
• Manage EPC contractor schedules, budgets, and permits.
• Coordinate interconnection processes with utilities.
• Lead project status meetings with AES management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate project turnover to Asset Operations.
