Job summary

FM Industries, a premier manufacturing solutions provider, seeks a Manager of Purchasing for its Phoenix, AZ location. You will lead the purchasing team, manage supplier performance, and drive cost-saving initiatives while aligning with ISO 9001/14001 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years procurement experience or equivalent combination.
• Familiar with internet/web-based procurement programs and modern supply chain methods.
• In-depth knowledge of ERP/Synchronous materials management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (Vlookup, Index/Match, PivotTable). VBA preferred.
• Ability to present information effectively to groups of stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret complex business and financial reports.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop continual improvement in department skills and performance.
• Manage supplier relations and performance; negotiate pricing.
• Maintain cost-effective, on-time external supply chain.
• Organize supplier briefings and vendor short-listing.
• Ensure PO–invoicing accuracy and cost-saving strategies.
• Implement ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 programs where applicable.
• Present department performance reports to senior management.
• Support environmental, health and safety initiatives.
