Job summary

FM Industries is seeking a Planning Manager in Phoenix, AZ to lead the planning team and coordinate with purchasing, engineering, quality, and inventory control to ensure on-time production and customer commitments.

You will manage shop orders, monitor MRP schedules, and communicate priorities across departments while optimizing lead times and production flow. A strong background in ERP/MRP and BOM interpretation is required.

Qualifications

• Able to lead a team in a growth environment.
• Understand that driving to customer commits is paramount to success.
• Strong analytical and sound decision making skills.
• Solid experience with MRP/ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control the flow of production parts to support scheduling of orders and services.
• Manage the Planning Team and coordinate with purchasing, engineering, quality and inventory control staff.
• Release shop orders timely to support demand and maintain production schedules.
• Generate and respond to ERP/MRP reports to ensure due dates and priorities are defined.
• Schedule meetings with manufacturing partners to minimize shortages.
