Job summary

AlphaX RE Capital’s AL Homes Inc. unit is seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent to lead residential procurement, bidding, and vendor management for multiple communities in California. You’ll develop sourcing strategies, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding quality standards.

You’ll mentor junior buyers, build a network of subcontractors across the Bay Area, and drive cost efficiencies throughout the construction lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in construction.
• Experience with bidding, cost analysis, and scope negotiation.
• Knowledge of residential trades, materials, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills; proficient with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid packages and solicit competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers for residential trades and materials.
• Evaluate bids for scope, pricing, and schedule commitments; ensure alignment with budgets.
• Issue purchase orders, trade awards, and contracts per project procedures.
• Maintain bid tabs, pricing records, and purchasing documentation; monitor outstanding bids.
