Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. seeks a Senior Purchasing Agent to lead procurement for modular data center projects in Salt Lake City, UT. You will manage requisitions, supplier relationships, and pricing with a focus on on-time delivery and cost control.

The role requires five to ten years in electrical material procurement, familiarity with FAR/DOD regulations, and strong project-management skills. Authorized to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Five to Ten years of procurement experience related to purchasing electrical material with FAR/DOD regulation familiarity.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Process requisitions and issuing purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Develop and manage internal customers’ relationships.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers for assigned purchases.
• Establish positive relationship with suppliers.
• Maintain a Purchasing Status Report.
• Follow established procedures and processes to manage job assignments.
• Partner with Project Engineers, General Supervisors, and Superintendents; develop list of tools, consumables, and supplies needed to construct the job.
• Be an effective member of project team to influence purchasing selections.
• Provide weekly status reports/updates to management.
• Identify and drive cost reduction opportunities.
