Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a Project Purchasing Manager to lead strategic buyouts of electrical commodities for data center projects in Sparks, NV.

This role partners with the General Foreman to develop Bills of Material and coordinate with suppliers weekly. The ideal candidate has at least five years of electrical purchasing experience, strong cost-reduction and negotiation skills, and proficient use of Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent industry experience.
• Five years of purchasing experience, preferably in electrical construction.
• Strong cost reduction, negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and Word essential.

Responsibilities

• Strategic buy-out of electrical commodities to support project installation work.
• Onboard vendor engagement: RFPs, submittals, fabrication and scheduling updates.
• Prepare Bills of Materials with the general foreman and manage supplier communications.
• Issue PO's, track material deliveries, and assist Accounts Payable with discrepancies.
• Generate reports and monitor supplier performance quarterly.
