Job summary

Fouts Bros Inc. in Milledgeville, GA is seeking a Buyer III to oversee procurement of strategic and critical goods. You will identify sources, negotiate pricing and terms, and secure products and services that meet operational needs while ensuring value and quality.

This role reports to the Purchasing Manager. You will monitor inventory, schedule purchase orders, maintain records in the ERP system, and collaborate with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, statistics or related fields or job experience equivalency.
• 5-7 years of professional experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft AX R3, preferred.
• Demonstrated experience applying analytics to real-world data challenges.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and demand to maintain optimal stock while minimizing excess inventory.
• Schedule purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Maintain records of purchases, contracts, pricing, and supplier information in the ERP system.
• Conduct organizational and market research to identify potential suppliers and services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and ensure effective communication.
• Conduct supplier visits to understand capabilities and continuous improvement activities.
• Resolve issues with suppliers ensuring satisfactory resolutions aligned with goals.
