Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Pumps Manufacturing Engineering team in Seattle. You will lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes for internal pumps used in lunar missions and space exploration, translating pump designs into robust production workflows.

You will drive design for manufacturability, develop manufacturing documentation, and ensure production readiness with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably with rotating equipment or fluid systems.
• 5+ years of experience creating detailed work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with precision manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, testing).

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization of pump designs from development through production readiness.
• Create detailed work instructions, process flows, tooling specs, and inspection plans for pump fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate with design engineering to optimize pump designs for manufacturability, cost, and quality.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and process optimization support to production teams.
