Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle, WA seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead industrialization of new products and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace hardware. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and on-time production, while advancing tooling, DFx, and efficiency.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, a BS in engineering, and capability to work second shift. Relocation and travel up to 10% may be required to support programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
• U.S. citizenship or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawful status to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to work second shift and have flexibility to move shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new products in areas such as solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
