Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the industrialization of pump designs from development to production readiness. You will bridge design engineering and manufacturing, translating pump requirements into repeatable processes and creating detailed work instructions for fabrication and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably with rotating equipment or fluid systems.
• 5+ years of experience creating detailed work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with precision manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, testing).
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident or lawful status to work in the U.S.; able to work second shift.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize pump designs from development through production readiness; create manufacturing processes for components, assemblies, and testing procedures.
• Develop detailed work instructions, process flows, tooling specs, and inspection plans for pump fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate with design engineering to optimize pump designs for manufacturing feasibility, cost, and quality during design reviews (PDR, CDR, PRR).
• Provide technical troubleshooting and process optimization support to production teams; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for pump manufacturing issues.
• Design and specify manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and assembly equipment for pump production.
