Job summary

ITT Inc. seeks a skilled Pump Mechanic/Inspector to support its Houston PRO Services shop in Stafford, TX. The role focuses on disassembly, inspection, repair decision making, precision assembly, and testing of centrifugal pumps and other rotating equipment.

You will apply decades of pump design experience to ensure equipment performance, reliability, and adherence to OEM specs, while mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 10+ years troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pump drawings.
• Strong repair techniques and inspection discipline.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble centrifugal pumps, including multistage units.
• Perform detailed dimensional inspections of critical components.
• Evaluate repair vs. replace decisions based on OEM specs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and develop work scopes.
• Lead and mentor lower-level mechanics on assembly practices.
• Conduct air and hydrostatic testing and document results.
• Ensure accurate inspection records and documentation prior to shipment.
