Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred (PhD/PharmD).
• 4–5 years of medical/scientific publications experience in pharma or medical communications.
• Proven leadership with cross-functional teams and strong stakeholder management.
• Ability to interpret medical data and align publications with strategic plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of presenting to senior audiences.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and talent development skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assigned assets and drive publication execution.
• Oversee tactical publication activities: manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.
• Ensure quality and alignment with platforms and supporting communications.
• Coordinate with Scientific Communications Director to align strategic plans with publication plans.
• Project and manage outsourcing budgets and internal resources for assets.
• Supervise internal/external medical writers; enforce Publication Policy and quality.
• Direct external vendors to deliver timely, high-quality publication deliverables.
• Provide performance feedback and staff development for direct reports.
• Maintain accurate publication records and resource plans across assets.
