Job summary

You will partner with senior scientists and medical affairs to optimize resources, manage budgets, and mentor medical writers, delivering high-quality publications on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; PhD/MPH/MD preferred.
• 4–5 years of medical/scientific publications experience in pharma or medical communications.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to interpret medical data and understand statistical concepts.
• Knowledge of publication structures, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assigned assets and drive publication plan execution.
• Oversee tactical publication execution: manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.
• Review publications for quality and alignment with platforms and communications.
• Partner with Directors to align publication strategy with plan and budgets.
• Manage outsourcing budgets and internal resources for publications.
• Provide guidance to internal/external writers and ensure timely, high-quality outputs.
• Direct external vendors to deliver publication projects on schedule and within quality standards.
• Ensure performance assessments, training, and retention of staff.
