Job summary

Cumming Group in Norwalk, CA is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to support public works projects as an Owner's Representative for the California Department of General Services.

You will plan, manage, and coordinate project scope, schedule, and cost, serving as the primary liaison with city officials, the design team, contractors, regulators, utilities, and stakeholders to deliver premier public facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with public works project administration.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Ability to prepare and communicate cost and revenue projections.
• Experience managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Accountability to team goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.
• Provide project administration as the Owner's Representative and serve as the primary liaison with the city, design team, contractors, regulatory agencies, utility companies, and project stakeholders.
• Communicate with and manage project stakeholders.
• Develop and communicate action plans from project start through closeout.
• Coordinate with Inspector of Record (IOR), Fire Marshall, and other regulatory agencies for inspections.
• Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping.
• Prepare cost and revenue projections.
