Job summary

The Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join our Norwalk, CA team supporting public works projects as an Owner's Representative for the California Department of General Services. You will collaborate with project leadership to deliver facilities that meet budget, schedule, and quality goals.

Responsibilities include managing project scope, schedule, cost, and coordination with city officials, design teams, and contractors; developing action plans from project initiation

Qualifications

• Experience with local public agencies and public works.
• Ability to monitor scope and adjust as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Capable of preparing cost and revenue projections.
• Knowledge of the project lifecycle including closeout.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate project schedule, scope, and cost.
• Serve as Owner's Representative; liaise with city, design teams, contractors, and regulators.
• Communicate with and manage project stakeholders.
• Translate client goals into action plans for the project team.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to facilitate inspections and approvals.
• Organize documentation and maintain project records.
• Ensure design management aligns with budget, scope, and client standards.
• Prepare cost and revenue projections.
