Job summary

Huitt-Zollars, Inc. in California's Inland Empire region seeks a Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager for Public Works. You will lead design teams, manage projects from concept through construction, and drive client relations while guiding proposals and scopes.

The role requires a California-registered PE, BSCE, 10+ years in public works, and strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills. Expect growth, leadership duties and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• BSCE and CA PE license required.
• 10+ years of civil engineering design experience in Public Works.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Civil Engineer in design schematics, construction plans, specs and estimates.
• Coordinate with EITs, designers and drafters.
• Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and support construction administration.
• Lead proposals, scopes, budgets, and project execution tracking.
• Deliver projects within client specs, budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate online meetings and distribute agendas.
• Lead public works infrastructure design from concept to construction docs.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants and other disciplines during planning and design.
