Job summary

Huitt-Zollars, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineering Principal-in-Charge / Vice President for its Irvine, Ontario, or San Diego offices. Requires 15+ years experience and CA PE license. Responsibilities include business development, mentoring, plan production management, and construction administration.

The role involves leading project teams, growing the Federal and Institutional practice, and ensuring quality and timely delivery with strong client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in California with a track record of 10+ years in engineering and 8+ years in PM.
• Experience producing complete construction plans and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead Principal-in-Charge and senior PM on key projects.
• Identify contacts/clients/opportunities for new work.
• Mentor staff and review work for quality assurance.
• Grow Federal and Institutional group.
• Ensure resources meet scheduling and budget commitments on projects.
• Interface with clients, develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees, ensure timely billing.
