Job summary

Huitt-Zollars is seeking a Civil Engineer – Project Manager located in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on leading civil design for public works and land development, coordinating with engineers and drafters, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate is a licensed PE in Washington with 6–8 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor staff across multi-discipline teams. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE in Washington State.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience.
• Experience producing accurate construction plans, specifications and reports.
• Ability to work independently in a team and manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written skills for clear engineering communication.
• Ability to mentor staff and perform quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for land development, transportation and public works projects.
• Coordinate with EITs, designers and drafters.
• Prepare technical reports and memoranda.
• Research jurisdictional requirements and incorporate into drawings.
• Prepare proposals, work plans and schedules.
• Create design/ construction drawings in AutoCAD using research data.
• Manage projects to meet client specifications, budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate with clients for project execution and delivery.
• Lead a team of engineers/designers and allocate resources.
