Job summary

Octave is seeking a Senior Account Executive for Public Safety, remotely serving the South US and beyond. You will own territory strategy, drive new logos, and manage complex government procurement cycles while targeting 911/PSAPs, police, fire, EMS, and municipal agencies.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years selling enterprise software to government bodies, a proven $1M+ quota record, and strong executive presence to influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise software sales to state or local government or public safety agencies.
• Proven track record of exceeding $1M+ annual quota.
• Experienced with RFP-driven, complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Successful in SaaS / cloud transformation sales environments.
• Ability to influence senior government stakeholders and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own territory attainment goals, sales strategy, pipeline, forecast, and bookings.
• Develop new public-safety accounts while expanding existing installed base.
• Sell OnCall Dispatch / CAD, Mobiles and RMS to government agencies.
• Manage complex procurement cycles involving IT, agencies, and leadership.
• Coordinate demonstrations, validation, and solution design with experts.
• Develop proposals, pricing, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
• Negotiate software, services, maintenance, and implementation agreements.
• Build executive relationships with 911 directors and CIOs.
• Maintain CRM data, pipelines, and territory/account plans.
• Travel substantially within the assigned region.
