Job summary

Octave, a leading public-safety software provider, is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new logo acquisitions within the Public Safety team. The role focuses on selling to 911/PSAPs, police, fire, EMS, and government agencies nationwide, with a remote-friendly Mountain West/US territory.

You will own territory attainment, develop strategies, manage complex procurement cycles, and build executive relationships while representing Octave at industry events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years enterprise software sales to state/local government or public safety agencies
• Proven track record exceeding $1M+ annual quota
• Experience with RFP-driven, complex enterprise sales cycles

Responsibilities

• Own territory attainment, sales strategy, pipeline, forecast, and bookings/revenue target.
• Develop new public-safety accounts and expand Octave's existing installed base.
• Sell Octave's public-safety portfolio (OnCall Dispatch / CAD, Mobiles and RMS).
• Manage complex government procurement cycles involving stakeholders across IT, operations, and leadership.
• Conduct discovery to understand dispatch operations, environments, and modernization needs.
• Coordinate demonstrations and solution design with solution consultants and product specialists.
• Develop proposals, pricing, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
• Negotiate software, services, maintenance/subscription, and implementation agreements.
• Build executive relationships with 911 directors, CIOs, and government decision-makers.
• Maintain CRM opportunity data, pipeline stages, and forecast dates.
• Track competitors and procurement activity in CAD/RMS/NG911.
• Represent Octave at conferences and industry events.
