Job summary

Txppa, City of Bee Cave's centralized purchasing and contract administration lead, seeks a experienced procurement executive to plan, direct and oversee all purchasing activities and contract lifecycle management. The role ensures compliance with Texas Local Government Code, federal requirements, and city policies while promoting transparency, competition, and fiscal responsibility.

You will lead policy development, formal solicitations, and vendor performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of public purchasing practices, procurement statutes, and budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct all procurement activities, including competitive solicitations (IFB, RFP, RFQ) and approve solicitations, evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Oversee full contract lifecycle, including drafting, execution, renewals, amendments, and vendor performance monitoring.
• Maintain centralized procurement and contract systems with accurate tracking, documentation, and accountability.
