Job summary

Foundation Communities in Austin, TX seeks a Procurement Manager to oversee procurement, vendor management, and theP2P system. The role ensures compliant, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while guiding staff and coordinating with finance and IT.

You will develop policies, manage strategic sourcing, drive process improvements, and monitor supplier performance to support housing programs and organizational goals. In-person, full-time role based in Austin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, or related field.
• Five years of progressive procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and vendor negotiations.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with ProcureDesk or other Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems and workflow management.
• Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Nonprofit, affordable housing, government, or grant-funded environments preferred.
• Knowledge of federal procurement requirements, including 2 CFR Part 200.
• Professional procurement certification (CPPB, CPPO, CPSM, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead organization-wide procurement activities and staff.
• Develop and communicate procurement policies and procedures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Oversee P2P system administration and workflows.
• Maintain vendor relationships and monitor performance.
• Support RFPs, RFQs, bids, and vendor selection processes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
• Provide training and guidance on purchasing and contracts.
• Prepare procurement analyses and reports.
