Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Technology Solutions Architect to partner with CDC stakeholders and project teams in Atlanta. You will translate complex needs into architectures, prototypes, and actionable technical options, overseeing scalable, secure solutions for public-health data exchange, analytics, and AI-enabled use cases.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of work experience, including four+ years in leadership roles such as Technical Lead or Architect.
• Experience designing, modernizing, integrating, or delivering complex technology solutions in public-health contexts.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and translating client needs into scalable, secure solutions.
• Public-health technology or informatics experience involving surveillance, epidemiology, reporting, laboratory, registry, or related workflows.
• Experience with public-health data exchange among agencies, laboratories, registries, healthcare partners, or federal systems.
• Knowledge of interoperability approaches and standards such as HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, APIs, or terminology systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate emerging or ill-defined needs into practical architectures, prototypes, and technical options.
• Lead the design of scalable, secure solutions for public-health data exchange and analytics.
• Apply standards and technologies including HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, APIs, and terminology systems.

• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across the technology stack.
