Job summary

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking a Senior Program Planner for the Bureau of Public Health Clinics to lead evidence-based program planning, monitoring, and evaluation across multiple sexual health services.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, track milestones, and advance health equity within NYC communities while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health or related field required for Assignment Level I; doctorate or equivalent experience for higher levels.
• Experience in public health program design, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Ability to analyze program data and grant deliverables.
• Experience communicating updates to leadership and diverse teams.
• Knowledge of grant management and funding landscapes for public health.

Responsibilities

• Study and evaluate literature in implementation science and apply findings to planning processes.
• Disseminate evaluation results through abstracts, webinars or reports.
• Coordinate ongoing monitoring of programs to ensure effectiveness and alignment with goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze impact and identify improvements.
• Track grant deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements.
• Facilitate program updates and communicate changes across teams.
• Develop performance measures and data-driven monitoring plans.
• Participate in evaluation activities and integrate findings into planning.
• Identify funding opportunities and sustainability strategies.
