Job summary

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) invites applications for a City Research Scientist, L3/Program Implementation Lead. You will report to the Senior Director of Programs and drive planning, implementation, and evaluation of new STI clinic initiatives across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating change management, training, and tool development, with focus on reducing health disparities and improving access.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in public health or related field.
• Doctorate or Master’s with extensive public health research/ supervision experience.
• Experience in program implementation and change management in public health.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning for new programs, grant activities, services, and major clinic changes.
• Collaborate with cross-department teams to assess needs and design workflows.
• Organize training, communications, and readiness activities for initiatives.
• Monitor implementation progress and resolve operational barriers.
• Support integration of initiatives into routine clinic workflows.
• Evaluate program outcomes using data and literature.
