Job summary

Early Warning Services seeks a Staff Security Application Engineer to design and maintain enterprise proxy and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions. You will lead control testing and collaborate with audit/compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.

You will deploy vendor solutions (Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Netskope) across networks, ensuring secure access and data protection while aligning with governance policies and security operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Typically 8+ years in network security engineering with 5+ years in proxy and DLP.
• Experience with financial institutions and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Netskope.
• Proven collaboration with audit and compliance teams for control testing.
• Deep knowledge of proxy protocols and DLP principles.
• Expertise in firewall configuration, secure web gateways, and SASE.
• Strong scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize proxy and DLP solutions.
• Act as SME for proxy/DLP and guide engineering teams.
• Integrate solutions from Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Netskope.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS through audits.
• Design, implement, and test security controls for governance.
• Monitor health and performance of proxy/DLP systems.
• Collaborate with security/governance teams on policies.
• Advise security operations in incident response.
