ImmunEdge is seeking a hands-on Senior Research Associate/Scientist to join the Biotherapeutics Department in Redwood City. You will own purification and analytical workstreams for therapeutic proteins and antibodies, including complex bispecifics, collaborating with discovery biology and protein engineering teams to optimize design and production.

The role emphasizes hands-on wet-lab work, detailed documentation, and clear data presentation to teammates and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, biophysics, or related discipline; 6+ years (BS), 4+ years (MS), or 0–2+ years (PhD).
• Experience purifying antibodies, recombinant proteins, or biologics; high-throughput purification.
• Strong analytical skills with SEC-HPLC, CIEX-HPLC, MS, mass photometry, DLS, nanoDSF.
• Familiar with protein inventory systems like Benchling.
• Experience with bispecific IgG assembly or bioconjugation is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; hands-on wet lab preferred.

Responsabilités

• Execute purification workflows for monoclonal and bispecific antibodies and other proteins using chromatographic techniques (affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC, mixed modes).
• Characterize biomass quality, purity, impurities, aggregation, charge heterogeneity, and determine molecule identity and PTMs.
• Optimize purification for small- and large-scale production to support discovery and preclinical studies.
• Optimize formulation for high concentration and maintain endotoxin limits across equipment.
• Troubleshoot production and purification challenges and collaborate with protein engineering to address sequence liabilities.
• Maintain detailed electronic lab notebooks and report data, conclusions, and recommendations.
