Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Manager, Protective Services to lead protective operations and train, staff, and equip a high-performing team. You will set protective standards, manage vendors, and direct incident response with a focus on rapid decision-making and minimal disruption.

You will travel to protect personnel, collaborate with intelligence and cyber teams, and drive the protective posture across sites and residences while maintaining the highest discretion and accountability.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in protective, security, or military operations.
• Five+ years managing people with hands-on protection ops responsibility.
• Sound judgment in fast-moving, high-consequence situations.
• Experience building or scaling protective capability and setting standards.
• Experience running multiple protective disciplines concurrently.
• Technical fluency across physical and cyber security.
• Ability to collaborate with intelligence, cybersecurity, legal and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead protective operations, staffing, assignment, resourcing, and response across the full scope of the program.
• Define training standards, qualifications, and records; build a deployable team.
• Manage vendor procurement and supplier relationships to protect people.
• Oversee incident response and real-time protection decisions under pressure.
• Lead converged physical-cyber protection with Protective Intelligence and Cyber Protective Services.
• Earn trust and reduce friction by building strong relationships with the people protected.
