Job summary

DoorDash seeks a Senior Manager, Protective Services to lead protective operations, training, vendor management and incident response. This player-coach role balances hands-on field work with strategic leadership, shaping staffing, protection standards, and how threats are assessed and acted on.

You will partner with intelligence, cybersecurity and legal teams to maintain a trusted protective posture, travel as needed, and build a measurable program you can deploy quickly across offices,

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in protective, security, or military operations with hands-on leadership.
• Five or more years managing people with hands-on responsibility for protective operations.
• Real decision authority, not just advisory roles.
• Ability to oversee multiple protective disciplines and programs.
• Comfort with networked systems, access control, surveillance, and security tech at the operational level.

Responsibilities

• Lead protective operations, staffing, assignments, protective decisions, resourcing and response across the full program scope.
• Own training and standards; ensure records and qualification milestones are maintained.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, competitive procurement, and approval thresholds.
• Own incident response; escalate on legal exposure, law enforcement, or high-risk events, documenting decisions.
