Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Lead Protective Services Officer to oversee security operations for staff, visitors, and patients. You will coordinate shift activities, participate in staff training, and investigate incidents in alignment with healthcare policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 1 year of security, law enforcement, or military experience (required).
• Non-violent crisis intervention training (required within 6 months of hire).
• Firearms qualifications; bi-annual certifications if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift activities, assignments, and staffing; ensure continuity between shifts.
• Coordinate orientation and training for new officers and ongoing staff development.
• Investigate violations and report to the Manager; support disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain documentation of incidents and prepare reports.
• Oversee staff during emergencies, arrest situations, and fire responses; coordinate with authorities.
• Compile statistics and enter data into databases as assigned.
