Job summary

Exelon seeks a senior protection and control engineer to lead and support engineering efforts for substation rebuilds, asset replacements, and smart substations. The role focuses on grid reliability, capacity expansion and complex project oversight.

Requirements include a B.S. in Engineering or PE license, 7+ years of experience, and knowledge of transmission/substation protection systems and related controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or PE license; 7+ years of professional experience; strong electrical system analysis.
• Experience with transmission and substation projects is preferred; familiarity with RTU, annunciator and LTC control systems.
• Ability to lead teams and mentor others in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform advanced engineering tasks in protection and control for substation projects.
• Develop studies, designs, calculations, and specifications for grid reliability improvements.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.
• Provide expert input for strategic decisions and standards development.
