Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or MS in Engineering; or international equivalents.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in protection and control is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of protection & control engineers, engineering technicians, and drafting technicians from project proposal to project as-built stage.
• Coordinate with Substation Physical Engineering, Relay Settings, and other groups for design concurrence.
• Develop complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications systems (one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, BOM).
• Develop SCADA packages, including Input/Output list (Point Data Sheet).
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to drafters, technicians, and junior engineers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior engineers, managers, and clients; present technical solutions to customers.
• Attend client meetings/site visits to collect or deliver data; ensure QA/QC processes on all design packages.
• Delegate, plan, prioritize, and review work of other engineers.
