Job summary

Prometheus Energetics is seeking a Test Engineer / Senior Test Engineer to own propulsion test infrastructure from design to lifecycle support as it moves into high-rate production. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and requires leadership during energetic operations, safe test conduct, and data-driven analysis.

You will integrate instrumentation and DAQ systems, develop automated test sequences, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with explosive safety standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, commission, and sustain scalable propulsion test stands and GSE for subscale to production acceptance static firings.
• Architect and integrate high-pressure pneumatic and fluid delivery systems for remotely operated test stands.
• Lead test planning, SOPs, hazard analyses, countdown sequences, and safety perimeters during energetic operations.
• Analyze test data, correlate with models, and drive root-cause investigations and FRACAS/MRB.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with DoD safety and ITAR/EAR requirements.
