Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is hiring a Senior Advanced Project Engineer in Phoenix, AZ, to drive rig and engine test projects supporting next-gen turbofan development. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure test articles meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in design, development, test and/or certification of gas turbine engines, engine control systems or other aerospace systems.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the project engineer and project cost account manager for the demonstration program.
• Own budget, schedule, milestones and accomplishment of technical deliverables in support of engine and rig tests.
• Manage the operating system for driving hardware fabrication, sourcing, inspection, instrumentation, assembly and test.
• Oversee rig, laboratory and facilities projects required to accomplish the core demonstrator test objectives
• Work with a cross-functional team to overcome challenges, break barriers and drive escalation where needed to protect the program.
• Lead estimating and planning for significant aspects of a major full-scale development program.
