Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Advanced Project Engineer to support the APU development and in-service programs. You will report to the Sr. Engineering Program Manager and operate on a hybrid schedule with relocation possible.

You’ll lead complex engineering projects, manage budgets over $500k, and ensure compliance with U.S. government program requirements while coordinating with multiple teams across the business unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or math.
• Minimum of 6 years of mechanical systems engineering experience; gas turbine knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years in Aerospace industry.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects and managing budgets >$500k.

Responsibilities

• Meet technical performance measures and project-specific process requirements.
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of the assigned engineering work scope.
• Manage requirements, control scope, and execute baseline change management.
• Execute projects within budget (including capital expenditures) and on schedule.
• Utilize EVMS tools and knowledge for government programs.
• Achieve design-to-cost targets and design-for-manufacturability and reliability goals.
• Communicate project health and status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Manage OEM customer relationships and coordinate with Repair and Overhaul teams.
