Job summary

Venus Aerospace seeks a Principal Propulsion Engineer to lead design, analysis, and development of propulsion hardware from parts to engine assemblies. You will own PPMS systems, optimize through CAD and P&ID workflows, and drive testing programs in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

The role requires 10+ years in aerospace propulsion, a strong systems engineering background, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. HQ in Houston with remote flexibility and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (required).
• Experience with propulsion systems design, analysis, and testing.
• Strong CAD and systems engineering background.
• Familiarity with aerospace materials and high-load environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

• Design propulsion hardware from parts to engine assemblies.
• Create CAD models of engine systems and components.
• Model fluid networks and select suitable components.
• Develop and execute test plans; analyze results.
• Generate engine P&IDs and detailed CAD models for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineering and procurement teams.
