Job summary

Venus Aerospace is hiring a Senior Propulsion Engineer to design, analyze, and develop propulsion hardware from parts to full engine and PPMS systems. You will model CAD components, create P&IDs, and perform fluid network design while coordinating with suppliers and testing teams.

The role emphasizes systems engineering, engine sizing, and evaluating cycle efficiencies across multiple engine cycles in a fast-paced environment. Onsite at our Houston HQ with ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years aerospace vehicle and engine systems design/engineering experience.
• Proficiency with NX/ SolidWorks and CAE tools; knowledge of engine cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test propulsion hardware from parts to engine/PPMS.
• Generate CAD models and P&IDs for engine systems.
• Model fluid networks and select components with suppliers.
• Develop test plans and analyze results; support agile project work.
