Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manager of multi-discipline support for Combustion Devices engineering. You will lead a team focused on engine test planning, development, and lifecycle support for BE-4 programs, ensuring on-rate delivery and continuous improvement across design, manufacturing, and testing processes.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and collaboration across disciplines, with opportunities to influence manufacturing and propulsion outcomes in spaceflight

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred).
• 5+ years aerospace industry or related field experience.
• Proven ability to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment delivering hardware.
• Commitment to developing engineering talent through coaching and mentoring.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing, supply chain, and materials processing.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
• Experience leading Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and support across life cycle stages.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct technical support across all phases of the component life cycle.
• Lead component design, manufacturing, and test support activities.
• Contribute to data reviews, test readiness reviews, and root cause analyses.
• Drive corrective actions and hardware improvements.
• Manage and mentor engineers to strengthen team capabilities.
