Job summary

Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services Division is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager who thrives in a lean, high-performing environment. You will lead the proposal team through small, medium, and large white papers and proposals, including $100M+ pursuits, reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Growth Programs.

Remote/hybrid options are available with 25% travel. You will collaborate with executive leadership, capture managers, pricing, contracts, and SMEs to craft win-ready proposals

Qualifications

• 7+ years in defense proposal management.
• Led 3–5 proposals valued at $100M+ from gate to submission.
• Experience with DoW customers (Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Army, MDA, DARPA).
• Trained in Shipley proposal development.
• Deep understanding of FAR/DFARS and government source selection processes.
• Experience with diverse contract vehicles: Cost-Plus, Fixed Price, IDIQ, OTAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end proposal development for new and strategic follow-on contracts (RFPs, BAAs, OTAs, IDIQ).
• Serve as Proposal Manager for complex, multi-volume proposals with tight timelines.
• Apply Shipley methodology throughout the proposal lifecycle.
• Develop and manage schedules, compliance matrices, and quality gates.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings, standups, and color-team reviews with executives.
• Manage final production and on-time delivery; improve proposal processes over time.
• Mentor junior staff and build scalable proposal content libraries.
