Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to lead all aspects of proposal development, coordinating writers, editors, and consultants to deliver high-quality, compliant proposals. The role collaborates with Capture and Business Development to craft technical and management solutions for RFPs and related materials.

The candidate will manage schedules, resources, and content planning, mentor junior staff, and ensure timely delivery, with a preference for proximity to Herndon, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience as Proposal Manager.
• 8+ years of track record winning proposals valued at $500M+.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including SharePoint.
• Proven proposal leadership skills and ability to build/lead a strong team.
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior staff in proposal development.
• Ability to work with little direction and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends.
• Commuting proximity to Herndon/Chantilly/Reston, VA.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate Proposal Volume Leads, writers, and consultants to produce high-quality, winning proposals.
• Collaborate with Capture Manager/Business Development Executive to articulate technical and management solutions.
• Contribute to proposal writing efforts as needed.
• Interface with Business Area personnel, proposal coordinators, and consultants to create compelling documents.
• Coordinate with matrixed resources and temporary staff to support bid efforts.
• Oversee proposal development from RFP receipt through delivery and customer receipt.
