Job summary

Caddell Construction seeks a Senior Proposal Manager in Montgomery, AL to lead proposal development and respond to RFPs. You will coordinate with joint venture partners, design teams, and subcontractors to deliver complete, compliant proposals.

The role requires strong writing, scheduling, and project management skills, with collaboration across estimators, operations, and marketing. On-site role with travel as needed.

• Gathers information from estimators, operations, and field/home office staff for proposals.
• Sets internal due dates to ensure timely reviews by stakeholders.
• Coordinates with Director of Proposal Development and Director of Estimating for project inclusion.
• Maintains proposal files on shared servers and in company databases.
• Supports CPARS, subcontracting stats, safety stats, and financial information as needed.
• Leads proposal debriefs with clients and assists with training of new staff.
• Performs other assignments per supervisor's direction.

Job Summary

Reviews owner Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, determines what technical information will be included, and prepares the submittal. Works collaboratively with all members of the Proposal Development Group and Estimating Department to gather and share information to ensure high quality proposal submissions.

What You Will Do

• Analyzes RFP documents and prepares Caddell response.
• Works with Caddell joint venture partners, design team partners, and key subcontractors to define and manage deliverables as necessary to complete proposal requirements.
• Works directly with Caddell estimators, operations personnel, and other field and home office personnel to gather information necessary to develop proposals.
• Establishes internal due dates for proposal requirements to ensure adequate time for review by all necessary stakeholders.
• Confers with Director of Proposal Development and Director of Estimating to determine appropriate projects and personnel for inclusion in proposal documents.
• Maintains proposal files on a shared server.
• Maintains assigned proposal/opportunity records in company selected database software.
• Available to help with additional tasks that impact the proposal group such as CPARS evaluations, small business subcontracting statistics, safety statistics, and company financial information.
• Prepares for and leads proposal debrief conversations with clients
• Assists with training of new Proposal Development Group Working personnel
• Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong business and technical writing skills, strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work a flexible schedule, demonstrated ability to analyze RFPs and other owner documents, demonstrated ability to manage work process and adhere to schedules. Ability to balance multiple competing priorities under deadlines. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe.

Education / Experience

Minimum high school diploma/GED and five years experience in professional business writing. Four-year degree in related field and two-years of proposal writing experience preferred.

While the salary range is typically between $70,000 - $105,000 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
