Job summary

Caddell Construction is seeking a Proposal Manager to analyze RFPs, coordinate with joint venture partners and design teams, and lead proposal development. You will gather data from estimators, operations, and field/home office staff, set internal deadlines, and manage proposal content for competitive bids.

The role requires strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with experience in MS Office and Adobe CC. Travel is minimal; reporting to the Director of Proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in professional business writing or proposal development.
• Four-year degree and five years of proposal development experience preferred.
• Federal government proposal development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFP documents and prepare Caddell response.
• Collaborate with joint venture partners, design team partners, and key subcontractors to define and manage deliverables for proposal requirements.
• Gather information with estimators, operations personnel, and other offices to develop proposals.
• Establish internal due dates to ensure timely proposal reviews by stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Director of Marketing and Proposals and business unit leaders for proposal content.
• Maintain proposal files on a shared server and records in the company database.
• Contribute to CPARS evaluations, subcontracting statistics, safety statistics, and financial data as needed.
• Prepare for and lead proposal debriefs with clients.

What You Will Do

• Analyze RFP documents and prepare Caddell response
• Work with joint venture partners, design team partners, and key subcontractors to define and manage deliverables as necessary to complete proposal requirements
• Work directly with estimators, operations personnel, and other field and home office personnel to gather information necessary to develop proposals
• Establish internal due dates for proposal requirements to ensure adequate time for review by all necessary stakeholders
• Confer with Director of Marketing and Proposals and appropriate business unit leaders projects and personnel for inclusion in proposal documents
• Maintain proposal files on a shared server
• Maintain assigned proposal/opportunity records in company selected database software
• Available to help with additional tasks that impact proposals such as CPARS evaluations, small business subcontracting statistics, safety statistics, and company financial information
• Prepare for and leads proposal debrief conversations with clients
• Assist with training of new proposals personnel
• Preform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
• Working Conditions-Office setting, minimal travel required, full time
• Reporting Structure -Director of Proposals

What We Expect

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong business and technical writing skills, strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work a flexible schedule, demonstrated ability to analyze RFPs/RFQ's and other owner documents, demonstrated ability to manage work process and adhere to schedules. Ability to balance multiple competing priorities under deadlines. Thoroughly fluent in use of Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

Education / Experience - Minimum high school diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in professional business writing and or proposal development. Four-year degree and five years of proposal development experience preferred.Federal government proposal development also preferred.

While the salary range is typically between $55,200-$82,900 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
