Job summary

Caddell Construction seeks a Proposal Manager to lead and coordinate responses to RFPs/RFQs across multiple regions. You will work with joint venture partners, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely, compliant, and compelling bids.

The role requires strong business and technical writing, exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, and extensive experience with MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud. Office-based with limited travel, reporting to the Director of Proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with 10 years of professional business writing or proposal development experience.
• Four-year degree and five years of proposal development experience preferred.
• Federal government proposal development experience also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFP documents and prepare Caddell response.
• Coordinate with joint venture partners, design teams, and key subcontractors to define and manage deliverables.
• Collaborate with estimators, operations, and other personnel to gather information for proposals.
• Set internal due dates to ensure timely reviews by stakeholders.
• Lead proposal debrief conversations with clients and assist with training of new proposals personnel.

Job Title -Proposal Manager

Location -Montgomery, AL, Jacksonville, FL, metro-Atlanta, GA, Bentonville, AR, Columbus, OH, Phoenix, AZ

What You Will Do

• Analyze RFP documents and prepare Caddell response
• Work with joint venture partners, design team partners, and key subcontractors to define and manage deliverables as necessary to complete proposal requirements
• Work directly with estimators, operations personnel, and other field and home office personnel to gather information necessary to develop proposals
• Establish internal due dates for proposal requirements to ensure adequate time for review by all necessary stakeholders
• Confer with Director of Marketing and Proposals and appropriate business unit leaders projects and personnel for inclusion in proposal documents
• Maintain proposal files on a shared server
• Maintain assigned proposal/opportunity records in company selected database software
• Available to help with additional tasks that impact proposals such as CPARS evaluations, small business subcontracting statistics, safety statistics, and company financial information
• Prepare for and leads proposal debrief conversations with clients
• Assist with training of new proposals personnel
• Preform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
• Working Conditions-Office setting, minimal travel required, full time

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong business and technical writing skills, strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work a flexible schedule, demonstrated ability to analyze RFPs/RFQ's and other owner documents, demonstrated ability to manage work process and adhere to schedules. Ability to balance multiple competing priorities under deadlines. Thoroughly fluent in use of Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

Education / Experience - Minimum high school diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in professional business writing and or proposal development. Four-year degree and five years of proposal development experience preferred.Federal government proposal development also preferred.

While the salary range is typically between $55,200-$82,900 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
