Job summary

Kraus-Anderson Construction is seeking a Marketing Manager – Proposals in Minneapolis, MN. You will lead the centralized proposal team, coordinate with Business Development and Operations, and drive a streamlined, strategic pursuit process from intake to interview preparation.

You will build capacity, improve tools and templates, and manage high-value opportunities with attention to deadlines, quality, and client-focused responses. Strong leadership and process design are essential.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in proposals, marketing, business development, pursuit management, or similar; construction industry preferred.
• Experience leading proposal or pursuit teams and coordinating complex, deadline-driven work.
• Strong understanding of proposal development, pursuit strategy, capture planning, interview prep, and business development processes.
• Ability to design and improve processes, clarify responsibilities, and build accountability in evolving practices.
• Proficiency with proposal tooling, CRM, project management, content management, and MS 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with executives and cross-functional partners.
• Sound judgment, organization, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a centralized Proposal team with clear expectations on quality and collaboration.
• Coordinate with Business Development and Operations to prioritize pursuits and allocate resources.
• Define workflows, timelines, roles, and quality standards for a consistent pursuit process.
• Oversee proposals from intake through submission, ensuring messaging, schedules, and compliance.
• Improve proposal templates, content, and systems; align branding with opportunities and resources.
• Use data and feedback to drive decisions and improvements across the function.
• Support a role that evolves with business needs and opportunities.
