Job summary

SCOR is seeking an experienced lead underwriter for construction facultative reinsurance in the United States. You will drive origination, build cedant and broker relationships, and lead strategic engagement to expand SCOR's market share while ensuring profitable, sound underwriting decisions.

You will collaborate with global teams, leverage risk modelling and analytics, and contribute to the regional plan while maintaining high standards of governance and regulatory compliance in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Degree in insurance, risk management, math, engineering or science.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Expertise in construction lines, pricing, U.S. regulatory requirements and market best practices.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Client Engagement—develop and deliver the regional facultative strategy through placements.
• Team Collaboration—build strong relationships with reinsurance and insurance leaders to drive profitable business.
• Market Negotiation—negotiate terms, pricing, and conditions for facultative reinsurance solutions.
• Portfolio Optimisation—manage and renew current portfolio, assess placements against risk, optimize capacity.
• Analytics Discovery—work with analytics and risk modelling to determine facultative needs.
