Job summary

MRK Partners is seeking a Senior Property Manager to oversee the operation of multiple properties in New Jersey. You will manage revenue and expenses, budgets, and capital projects while ensuring resident satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

You will lead hiring and training, supervise staff, and maintain strong relationships with residents and partners. A proactive, detail-oriented leader will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six years within the property management industry.
• Three years minimum in supervisory/management role including budgeting, accounting, compliance and performance management.
• Experience with Public Housing, Project-based Voucher, Tax Credit and Section 8 is highly preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility based on business needs.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations across multiple properties, ensuring revenue and expense management.
• Develop and administer operating and capital budgets.
• Forecast major capital projects and oversee renovations.
• Manage resident relations and communications on lease and repair requests.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and funding requirements.
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding and ongoing staff development.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and variance reports.
• Maintain compliant property documentation and records.
• Support district/regional managers in staffing decisions.
• Provide guidance to maintain safety and curb appeal across properties.
