Job summary

Abode is seeking a Sr. Property Manager for City Gardens Permanent Supportive Housing in San Francisco's SoMa district. You will oversee multiple sites, supervise staff, and ensure safe, stable housing while coordinating with external partners and providing resident services.

The role requires knowledge of LIHTC and HUD regulations, strong communication, budgeting and reporting skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 3 years of progressively increasing property management experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Current tax credit certification, CPO/COS or IREM/NCHM designation or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Use of personal vehicle and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance.
• Excellent verbal & written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of affordable housing regulations, including HUD, LIHTC, Tax-Exempt Bonds, HOME, CDBG, SHP, HCD, CHRP, CHFA, MHSA, and AHP.
• Ability to speak, read and write a second language such as Spanish, Vietnamese, Tagalog or Mandarin/Cantonese; proficiency in MS Office and Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple sites and may supervise 5+ staff.
• Ensure housing is decent, safe, and in good condition; engage residents with case management resources.
• Coordinate with external agency partners to support client engagement.
• Manage financials, budgeting, and vendor contracts within approved plans.
• Market occupancy and maintain occupancy targets; show units and interview applicants.
• Schedule inspections, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safety standards.
• Prepare reports on rent rolls, demographics, housing retention, and vacancies.
• Provide on-call assistance during after-hours property emergencies.
