Job summary

Housing Authority of Savannah is seeking a Director of Property Management in Savannah, GA. You will oversee multiple housing communities, supervising staff, and monitoring budgets and occupancy to ensure high performance and compliance.

Responsibilities include inspecting properties, reviewing HUD scores, managing annual budgets, rent policies, and reporting. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Social Sciences, or related field with 10 years of progressively responsible affordable housing experience; 2 years supervisory/managerial; Master’s preferred; CPM designation preferred.
• Knowledge of HAS policies and HUD rules and regulations applicable to property management.
• Minimum five years of management in public housing, HCV program, tax credit housing, or related fields.
• Knowledge of HUD UPCS, NSPIRE, and REAC inspection procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to train, develop and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple housing communities through subordinate staff and monitor fiscal and occupancy status.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets; produce reports and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Inspect properties for safety and upkeep; monitor HUD assessment scores and maintenance quality.
• Ensure rents, utility allowances, and fee schedules are in line with policy; promote occupancy goals.
• Lead marketing efforts to maintain high occupancy and coordinate emergency on-call responses.
