Job summary

Beacon Communities is seeking a Senior Property Manager for North Square at Mill District & Royal Worcester Apartments in Amherst, MA. The role oversees financial operations, budgeting, and compliance for two assets with complex programs, including affordable housing elements.

The position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and experience with HUD/LIHTC guidelines, with a focus on occupancy optimization, reporting, and resident services coordination.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with housing management, budgeting and housing agency regulations.
• Experience with HUD/LIHTC programs is helpful.
• Strong organizational and management skills and teamwork.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Yardi is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations and ensure compliance with company and government guidelines.
• Prepare annual operating budget and monitor variances; assist in 10-year capital planning.
• Oversee rental/lease programs, income certifications, and occupancy metrics.
• Supervise staff; conduct performance appraisals and weekly staff meetings.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports and monitor key metrics; coordinate with Compliance and HUD/LIHTC teams.
