Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to lead advanced maintenance tasks across our portfolio. The role involves supervising projects, resolving complex issues, and mentoring junior technicians while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance.

You will perform electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work, conduct preventive maintenance, and coordinate with Property Staff on improvements. A valid driver’s license and 5+ years in the field are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in property maintenance or related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance tasks including electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs independently.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Conduct regular property inspections and address issues proactively.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff.
• Collaborate with Property Staff on improvement projects and manage inventory.
• Complete unit make-readies and ensure vacant units are ready for leasing.
• Respond to routine maintenance requests and emergencies; participate in on-call rotation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
